While using a gps is one thing - riding while wearing headphones or using a cell/pda is incredibly reckless. I’ve know multiple people who’ve been involved in accidents due to such behavior. Headphones rob you of your ability to be aware of the sounds of your surroundings. How can you hear if some one is trying to draft past you? Or if a car is coming up on you in those roads w/ shared lanes. As for texting, if what you’re conversing about is that important, pull over to the shoulder.
